More About?

I've been in IT for somewhere between 15 and 20 years depending on how you measure start. My focus has been Windows Server with a heavy emphasis on On-Prem Active Directory and identity. I also tend to find myself somewhere between line 500 and 1000 of a decent PowerShell script.

My experience has been primarily with enterprise-scale Windows Server environments and managing their AD consisting of anywhere from a few dozen domain controllers to literally more than 1000. I've done in-house training, built Tiering models, and even worked on an ESAE/Red Forest design.

My real life is being a boy dad to two little men and a husband to an amazing, math-wizard wife. When I'm not working or doing the family thing, I mess around in a homelab where I learn about the things work won't let me learn about. There I've got anywhere from a couple of Windows VMs to a dozen Windows VMs and a handful of Linux VMs depending on the need. I like experimenting and breaking stuff to figure out how it works.
